Broadcast.I can understand why the publisher would want to charge for new content, but I maintain my belief that charging for map packs is a huge mistake, and that a new revenue model should be established as soon as possible.Activision needs to forge a new path and release all maps for free going forward. This would avoid splitting the community (which is already deeply divided across games and DLC packs) and would be a clear sign of good will to the community.Activision would likely sell more copies of the base game if everyone knew maps were free. Meanwhile, they could focus on recouping revenue with supply drops and the Season Pass could consist of other content like co-op modes, extra story missions and special aesthetic items.I’ll just keep banging that drum and giving this same advice for free like I’ve been doing for years now. I’m right, of course, and Activision should listen to me. But the sound of money tends to drown out everything else and there’s no easy way around it: Not selling maps would clearly cost the company money in the short term. That it might improve game sales and make a stronger community in the long-run is a tougher sell.Regardless, I look forward to taking these maps for a spin. I’ve enjoyed the remastered version of one of the best modern shooters out there.

Call of Duty Black ops 4 is the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise. Just last month Treyarch had a big blowout at the Black ops 4 reveal event showcasing the new changes to multiplayer, the new zombie maps, and of course the all new battle royale game mode titled Blackout. This year at the Sony 2018 E3 press conference we got a trailer showing more of that Call of Duty action. Maps are a big part of Call of Duty and in Black Ops 4 this is now difference.
