Fallout 4 Armored Vault Suit Mod

It does various different things and is fully compatible with retextures. There are two versions of this mod available, the first covering only the vanilla game (and VT Workshop), and the second covering The base game, Far Harbor and Vault-Tec Workshop. Both versions of this mod also come with out of the box compatibility for my 'Lost Vault' mod. I highly suggest placing this mod towards the bottom of your load order if you plan on using it with other vault suit retextures, or vault related mods. Alright.

Here's what you came to know, let's get into the nitty gritty. This is a full list of features this mod includes.- Gold Trim and Numbers on all Vault Suits (akin to Fallout 76): For those of you who don't know, the original intention behind Fallout 4's yellow vault suit trim was for it to look gold, just like the suits we see in 76. Obviously, this was poorly executed, and came out looking flat and plasticy, so I've tried to bring it closer to the intended look.- Retextured and Improved Security Outfits: Let's be honest, the white and blue vault security design was a really odd choice for something that was supposed to resemble riot armor, not to mention there was little difference between the security suits from different vaults, as they all very much looked the same. The security armor and helmet has been retextured to be, you guessed it, black. In addition, the respective vault number is now also plastered on the back of the outfit, because one little nametag on the torso is way too subtle. All vaults now have vault security armor associated with them, spread around the respective vaults, vault 88 will have security armor respawn in a newly placed security chest by the entrance.- Improved Vault Scientist Uniforms: Remember in Fallout 3, how the vault scientists actually wore their vault suits underneath their lab coats, and not some low budget working suit?
Again, a really out of place look for this outfit, so I changed that. Though subtle, now all vault scientist outfits have been replaced with a mesh that actually contains a vault suit underneath that snowy white labcoat. Don't worry though, this strictly affects the vault scientists, so you won't be seeing this randomly in the wasteland.- Retextured Vault Corpses: Though few and far between, vault corpses are memorable, they're the unfortunate subjects of vault-tec that didn't share in your once in a lifetime luck. They're also one of the first thing you see when you step out of your cryo pod, which is why the issues with them are so glaringly noticeable. First things first, the vault suits the skeletons wear is extremely washed out and pixelated, almost like someone over sharpened the texture. That's been fixed, so now the outfits look nearly identical to the vanilla vault suits.
In addition, our fair weathered friends have also gotten the golden treatment. The specular maps are fixed, and environment maps enabled, so that the trim and numbers actually shimmer and shine just like their living pals.- Vault Suit Restoration: There's a whole slew of vault suits that exist in Fallout 4's files to some capacity, but are either not fully functional, and/or are not even obtainable in the game world. This has been fixed. Every single vault in the game now has both clean and dirty vault suits, lootable from their respective vaults.
Each vault contains at least 5 dirty, and 5 clean suits. Vault suits that previously only came in a clean or dirty version now have their clean or dirty counterpart implemented.
This is all done through the new vault-suit bags, that can be found exactly where you think they can. These bags were previously exclusive to only vault 114,and Far Harbors Vault 118.Drag the contents of the mod into your Fallout 4 folder. So I was going through and giving my character some new armor and stuff recently and I was REALLY annoyed by how FEW outfits there are that A. Allow armor to be worn over them and B.
Don’t clip if they have armor over them.I have armorsmith installed, I have elies armor compendium installed, but there just isn’t any “good” under armor clothing. Sure, you can use the army fatigues or the minutemen outfit, but those are so boring. Is there any mod that specifically adds clothing for under armor that DOESN’T CLIP and/or fixes clipping between armor and clothing? And yes, I’m aware of the “more armor slots” mod that allows you to wear armor over traditionally “armored” clothing. But that just results in armor clipping into the clothing 95% of the time. Best TipsThe clothes clipping through the armor isn’t really something that can be fixed in bulk. If you really want it gone, you’d need to alter either the armor or clothes in Outfit Studio (I believe) so that they don’t clip – either making the armor further from the body or make the clothing lay more flat. And then just because the clothes didn’t clip through that armor doesn’t mean it wouldn’t clip through other armor.

That’s why almost all of the clothing/armor mods on Nexus are outfits instead of bits of clothing that can be combined. That said, you can also look for things that just clip less but still look pretty cool.Something like:. Proto Vault Suit.
