That cold, vengeful, cruel person who enjoyed hurting Hidan all for revenge over Hidan killing Asuma in a battle that Asuma began, is not a person that I can consider a hero anymore.I don't like that in this case, everything that has been said about revenge in the past and currently was negated, with no explanation for this.I don't like that very little effort went into the battle, that Shikamaru didn't even end up with a scratch. That Hidan had to be dumbed down to fall into all of Shikamaru's traps.I'm a Hidan fan and I feel his character was completely shafted, and all for revenge and to give Shikamaru an easy win.And I don't like that Shikamaru can kill someone for the first time and do it in such a cruel fashion when he had other, humane options, and then he can just smile and laugh about moments afterward, none of that made Shikamaru look like a good person to me.And the fight was too fast, and except for how good Hidan looked, it was unimaginative and boring. There was absolutely no struggle in that fight. It was like Shika had a step by step list of what to do and ticked every step on that list without even a worry.

His fight with Tayuya was better in my opinion because she managed to fight back to some degree.Hidan went out with whimper. The fact that most of the forum predicted the strategy well in advance and Hidan went from looking stupid to being completely brain dead didnt help. Compare that fight to Deidara's fight. Sure Sasuke had a step by step strategy as well but we had no clue about it till the end and then Deidara literally went out with a bang.What made it worse was that Shika a person known far more for his brains then physical ability suddenly managed to 1) become very fast with a 'blood capsule' switch jutsu 2) Manage to hold Hidan in Kage-Mane for so long when he had trouble doing so just a week ago. In 342 he smiles the biggest grin of his life, only moments after torturing Hidan. Why did he smile like that?

Hidans fate was sealed from the beginning. Not ONCE did he seem to have a minute chance.

Not once did he make Shikamaru struggle, or be concerned.He was Shikamarus puppet all the time. Outmatched, outmanouvered, outthought, overpowered. The blood switch trick? Pretty speedy huh Shika?

Full duration shadow binds without Hidan even being able to struggle against it?
